Understanding the terminology used in Kiflo helps you configure your account correctly and communicate clearly with your team and partners. Below you’ll find definitions for every key term used across the Kiflo platform, listed alphabetically.
An asset is a document or file uploaded to your Kiflo library that can be shared with partners. Assets typically include sales collateral, marketing materials, product sheets, pricing guides, and other resources that help partners represent your product effectively. You can control which partners have access to each asset by restricting visibility at the program or tier level.
A coworker is a member of your internal team who has access to the Kiflo admin area. Coworkers can manage partners, review leads and deals, configure programs, and perform other administrative tasks depending on their role and permissions.
A customer is a person or company that you already provide products or services to. Leads can be converted into customers once they are qualified, and deals may be associated with either new prospects or existing customers in your portfolio.
A deal represents a qualified sales opportunity that a partner has registered in Kiflo. Deals progress through pipeline stages as your team reviews and closes them.Registered Deal — A deal registered by the partner who identified and is the original source of the opportunity. Registration gives partners protection against conflicts and establishes their claim to any associated reward.
A group allows you to segment partners within your account — for example, by geographic region, business model, or performance band. Groups give you a flexible way to organize partners beyond program membership alone.
A lead is a potential customer — an unqualified opportunity — that flows into Kiflo through partner activity. Leads are reviewed and qualified by your team before being converted into deals or customers.Shared Lead — A lead for which you are the source. You assign it to a specific partner to work on, effectively distributing your own pipeline to your partner ecosystem.Submitted Lead — A lead submitted by a partner through the partner portal, or submitted by you on the partner’s behalf when they are the source of the opportunity.
A level, also called a tier, is a way to segment partners within a program. Each level can carry different requirements that partners must meet, different benefits they receive, and different reward structures that determine their commission rates.Tiers are commonly used to recognize and incentivize partner performance — for example, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers with progressively higher commission rates.
A partner is a company that collaborates with you to help deliver, sell, or refer your products or services. Partners access Kiflo through the partner portal, where they can submit leads, register deals, access content, and track their earnings.A single partner company can participate in multiple programs simultaneously, each with its own reward structure, requirements, and benefits.
A payout is the compensation issued to a partner. A payout consists of one or more accumulated rewards that have been earned and approved. Payouts can be issued individually to specific partners or processed in bulk across multiple partners at once.
A program is the primary way you categorize and configure partners in Kiflo. Programs are typically organized around partner type (referral, reseller, affiliate) or geographic region. Each program has its own tiers, benefits, requirements, and reward structures — and determines what partners in that program see and can do in their portal. You must create at least one program before you can invite partners into Kiflo.
A reward is a commission earned by a partner for completing a predefined action. You configure reward rules at the program level — for example, a flat fee for each submitted lead that converts, a percentage of deal value when a deal closes, or a commission triggered by a recorded transaction.Earned rewards accumulate and are then consolidated into payouts when you’re ready to compensate a partner.
A partner team member is a user from the partner’s own organization who has been added to the Kiflo platform. Multiple people from the same partner company can have individual accounts, allowing them to submit leads, register deals, and access the partner portal under their organization’s partner profile.
A transaction is a payment you receive from a customer for the products or services you provide. Transactions can be recorded in Kiflo and used as the basis for calculating partner rewards — for example, paying a commission to the partner who originally referred or closed that customer.
